DACARA bring in fans from across music and fandom culture with their nods to popular culture and self-proclaimed love of nerdy references. Expect fun, high energy sets, a dynamic sound that bounces between angelically melodic and ferociously heavy, and more videogame and anime soundbites than a Forbidden Planet store.

DISCOGRAPHY

DACARA have an impactful discography that punches far above its weight, with 11 singles and an upcoming EP. Their latest single 'DeGEN' was released in December 2025 and has fast become a fan favourite, with BBC Radio Manchester and Primordial Radio airplay. It is accompanied by an ambitious K-Pop inspired music video which has been watched over 50,000 times.

Their highly anticipated EP 'RETCON' is set for release in November 2026, with a follow-up EP pencilled for late spring 2027.

LIVE SHOWS
DACARA are known for their fun, high energy, high production live shows. Vocalist Emma fronts the band with an impressive performance that combines her classical vocal training with sass and ferocious screams. Their technical ability, with 15+ years performing in bands ensures a slick, professional set, and their production knowledge allows them to create a show that exceeds all expectations for a band their size. Expect LED screens, programmed lighting, 'wow' vocal moments, niche gaming references and more flying hair than any photographer can capture.

PERFORMANCE HISTORY

The band cut their teeth in Manchester's Metal 2 The Masses competition in 2024, where they were fan favourites and finalists, winning over both judges and attendees with some of the highest recorded scores of the competition.

They went on to sell out their first ever headline show at Manchester's Deaf Institute in November '24, and played to over 3,000 people at Download Festival 2025, after being picked for the Doghouse Takeover.

Their triumphant November 2025 headline show at Manchester Rebellion brought together over 400 fans for an immersive, high energy show - despite clashing with Bad Omens and several other notable Manchester shows the same night. They've gone on to play RADAR Festival in 2026 to overwhelmingly positive feedback, attracting a high energy crowd of over 500 to their opening slot at Victoria Warehouse.

By the end of 2026, DACARA will have completed two UK tours, as main support for Phoenix Lake, and a co-headline tour this autumn. They've also supported Download Festival alumni such as BlackGold, BEX and Skarlett Riot, and are sole support for Japanese vkei metal JILUKA at Manchester Academy 2 in September.
FAN BASE

DACARA have a growing cult following with some incredibly dedicated and creative fans. From DACARA-themed Warhammer to custom light up battle jackets and traveling 6+ hours for a show, DACARA have highly engaged fans across the UK. Their strongest regions for ticket sales are their hometown of Manchester, Yorkshire (particularly Leeds and Sheffield) and Birmingham but are expanding this rapidly through touring, PR and advertising.
